Story
Hello friends, my name is Woody Drabousky.
For over 20 years, I’ve been living with multiple sclerosis—a condition that has brought many challenges, but also gifted me with a profound sense of gratitude, resilience, and joy. Throughout this journey, nature has remained my sanctuary. It’s where I feel most alive, most whole, and most connected to the world around me.
I’ve spent my life creating art from nature’s treasures, using my hands and heart to shape beauty from the earth. Even when my body has felt limited, my spirit has remained wide open and free.
Years ago, a severe flare-up left me unable to walk without assistance. Since then, my walker and three-wheel trike have been more than mobility tools—they’ve been lifelines to independence, adventure, and healing. I’ll never forget the thrill of riding 42 miles through the Black Hills, after months of rebuilding my strength. It was a reminder that with heart, amazing friends, and support, even the steepest hills can be climbed.
Today, I’m dreaming bigger—and I need your help to get there.
I’m raising 9 936 to purchase three life-changing tools that will help me regain mobility, freedom, and live more fully in the wild beauty I love:
• The Hypershell Exoskeleton – A revolutionary wearable device that will help me walk unassisted, climb stairs, and move freely without overheating, pain or fatigue.
• The Meet One Electric Trike (Tour model) – Built for comfort, safety, and long-distance rides, this trike will let me explore trails, climb mountains, visit friends, and cruise around town with ease and joy.
With this new trike, I would also need a trailer hitch, mounted to my vehicle and a trailer with ramps.
• A Power Plate built by vibrational technologies – This vibration-based therapy tool helps build neural pathways, improves balance, and strengthens muscles—giving me a smoother, safer gait.
Each of these tools serves a different purpose, but together, they represent the chance to reclaim freedom, explore nature, and embrace a life filled with purpose and adventure.
The few months while using a friend’s Power Plate really helped to reconfigure the way that I moved and walked, helping me build new neural connections and walk with much better balance and confidence.
The trike simply makes me smile every time I step onto it. It lets me feel like a kid again, zipping around with the wind in my face and joy in my heart. The best part is I get a ton of exercise while riding on my daily one-hour tour, taking me to secluded places I’ve only dreamt about getting to.
And while the exoskeleton is something I’ve never experienced before, I’m beyond excited to see what new doors it might open. Just the thought of walking unaided already brings a beautiful smile and a giggle to myself.
This isn’t just about mobility—it’s about living fully. It’s about walking again, pain-free. It’s about riding from one giant cottonwood to the next hidden lake. It’s about accessing the creek, feeling the water on my body, and watching the sunset from the top of a trail.
I’m not waiting on life—I work hard every day on physical therapy, yoga, Qi Gong, Ice water therapy, and long rides on my current trike. I’m also rebuilding my art business and creating wellness mushroom tinctures to help others and myself heal and thrive. But with a limited SSDI income, this dream could take years to achieve without support.
With your help, I can make it happen—not someday, but now.
Here’s how your contribution makes a difference:
• At 2,257, I’ll purchase the Hypershell exoskeleton.
• At 5,956, I’ll be able to order the Meet One trike.
• at 6,936 I’ll be able to order the Power Plate.
•••Update on 5/27 I have raised my goal to 9,936 any additional money after the 6,936 goal will go towards a small chest freezer (for my daily ice water baths), a trailer hitch (installed) and a small trailer (with ramps) to haul my brand new E trike.
•THIS EXTRA 3,000 IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT WOULD REALLY COMPLETE THE PACKAGE FOR WHAT I NEED.
Bringing the total to 9,936
Your gift—no matter the size—brings me one step closer to walking unassisted, exploring further, and dancing under the stars.
Every morning I wake up grateful just to be alive. I believe in giving back, volunteering, and inspiring others by sharing my story of overcoming challenges. Life is precious, and I am endlessly thankful for each day and for every person who joins me on this journey.
Thank you for helping me walk again.
Thank you for believing in possibility.
Thank you for being part of this adventure.
With deep gratitude and so much love,
Woody
